Christina Steele, MA, LPC, NCC

Hi, I am Christina! It is my passion to walk alongside others as they grow towards their goals. I use an eclectic approach to therapy and utilize interventions from different theories that I believe are the best fit for my clients. I incorporate aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, EMDR Therapy, and others. It is my goal to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment to work through life’s challenges. My hope is to work in connection with my clients in identifying their personal strengths, to formulate a treatment plan that brings hope to the future.

How will you feel in my office?

First time counseling sessions can be nerve-wracking. My first focus in the session is building a trusting relationship. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable space to sort through life’s hardships. I offer a judgment-free space for my clients to feel understood and supported. They know they can be completely honest in expressing their true selves. I encourage honesty and transparency for each of my clients.

What can you expect?

Life looks different for us all, so I like to begin with getting to know you and, or your relationship a bit by hearing your reasoning for perusing counseling. We will discuss goals for our time together. As we start building a therapeutic relationship and start working on a treatment plan, we may meet once a week or every other week.

“Find hope in new horizons be kind to yourself as you wrestle with what it means to begin again.”
